I am an experienced supervisor of both individuals and groups and work with both qualified experienced therapists and counsellors in training.
I offer an open and transparent relationship in which you are welcome to bring all of yourself and your work with clients for reflection and support.
I gained a Certificate in Supervision in 2003 with PCT Britain and since then I have enjoyed working with both counsellors-in-training and qualified therapists. I offer a co-created, consultative relationship which is open and supportive as well as reflective and gently challenging.
I have experience of supervising different modalities as I have an integrative psychotherapy training. This has allowed me to integrate psychodynamic theory, child developmental theories, neuroscience and trauma therapy into my person centred core. This perspective has helped me to remain passionate and committed to my client work and my work with supervisees. I particularly enjoy the commonality and differences between approaches. I also firmly believe that humour has a place in supervision relationship as a counterbalance to our work.
I work from my peaceful practice in Lanark where I offer daytime and some early evening appointments. I also have some daytime availability in Glasgow on a Wednesday only.
I offer an initial 30 minute introductory meeting free of charge for supervisees and thereafter my fee is £60 per hour. I offer a reduced fee for supervision of counselling students of £50 per hour.
There are good transport links to both Lanark and Glasgow offices and there is local parking available. Access in Lanark may be limited as there is one small step at the entrance. Unfortunately in Glasgow there is no disabled access as the counselling rooms are reached by a flight of stairs.
